It never disappoints: Westward.

The space is outstanding and one of the best places in Seattle for dining outside. Located right on the north shore of Lake Union with great views of downtown and the Space Needle. You can arrive by car, kayak or your boat. A glorious place to be on a summer afternoon…or maybe any afternoon.

The menu is mostly small plates and oysters so it’s a great place to share. Menu constantly changes and varies from seafood to beef to pork to pasta. The chef is inventive so one never knows what interesting combinations of cuisines will show up on the menu. Could be a burger, chickpea fritters, egg salad toast or a dungeness crab roll along with all manner of seafood towers.

They have a very good wine list which has selection from the PNW and Old World. Selections vary based on the menu and can include interesting choices for example, Mexico, as well as other unique wine regions.

During the summer, try the Adirondack chairs but arrive early or they’ll all be taken. It’s a very popular spot.

On weekends they offer brunch as well as dinner.

Reservations recommended.

Service is excellent.
