Milanese bakery: Starbucks Reserve Roastery.
This was the first appearance of Princi Bakery in the US and there isn’t any indication, to the unaware, that it is located inside the Capitol Hill Roastery. While this is usually a tourist spot, they have a large selection of pizzas and pastries. The adjoining tables allow you to sit and enjoy your choice or you can order takeaway. The pizza is very good and, of course, a pastry….or pastries must be had. So, if you want authentic pastries, baked goods and pizza from Milan, this is your place. Visiting in December…they have panettone.
This place is huge…reminds me of the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory…so you’ll want to spend a bit of time seeing what’s there. Don’t forget to visit the bar for a real drink…if you’re all coffeed out!
