Looking for late lunch: Stan’s BBQ.
Hard to find good BBQ in Seattle but thought we’d give this place a try. Located in the old town area, the owner hails from Kansas City so expect beef brisket but pulled pork, chicken, turkey…and several other smoked meats are on the menu. Three sauces are offered…..sweet, mild and hot. The sweet variety was nice with a smoked flavor and mild spiciness.
Obviously we had the pulled pork and the sweet sauce. The pork was very good. The sides of slaw….good…and baked beans….could be improved with a bit more flavor….rounded out the experience.
The space is very typical of a BBQ joint….a bar and tables surrounded by sports memorabilia.
