Neighborhood bar and grill: Sand Point Grill.
We visit fairly frequently since it is close to home. It’s usually crowded around dinner time so keep that in mind if you plan to visit. Arriving a bit late….say 7:30 and the wait should be minimal to nonexistent.
Solid American fare at a good price point. If I had to pick one thing to have here it would be the Totten Inlet mussels in white wine. While on the menu as an appetizer it is a full meal. They are some of the best mussels I have had and are always consistently excellent. Trout is usually on the menu and tonight it was served with carrot spaetzle and spaghetti squash with parsnip puree and cherry jam. Interesting combination of flavors and textures. On a more recent visit, I had the lamb bolognese which was outstanding!
The burger, beet salad and tomato bisque soup are also very good.
Visited post pandemic and…it’s just as before! Try the pulled pork sliders or the complete sandwich if it’s on the menu…very good example of pulled pork in Seattle. Another new add to the menu are the BBQ cauliflower wings…excellent!
Their wine list is good with a few old world selections.
