On the way: Roadhouse Restaurant and Inn.
First built early in the last century it’s been renovated several times and still serves as an Inn. On the first floor is a typical bar/restaurant serving very good food.
Choices are as expected: salads, soups, sandwiches, fish and chips and burgers. One highlight is the pulled pork sandwich. While the BBQ sauce isn’t quite up to Southern standards the product is delicious……served on a lightly toasted brioche bun with apple coleslaw which gives it a sweetness and crunchiness at the same time.
The alcohol choices lean to beer but the rosé cider was dry and delicious.
Service was friendly and helpful.
