Another dinner for 100: Ristorante Verbano.
On the beautiful Isola dei Pescatori in the middle of Lago Maggiore in northern Italy. The food was good but once again the location and surrounding vista are the main reasons to visit.
While not everyone enjoyed the branzino…served with the skin on…which some could not get past…….it was, for true fish lovers a delicious add to the dish! I was also enamored with the fried freshwater smelts….very interesting appetizer.
This is a place to stroll before dinner…no cars, few people and the typical narrow lanes of an old European town. Very quaint.
