Must visit: Ray’s Café.

It’s been a number of years since I’ve visited this Seattle icon to seafood. It continues to never disappoint.

Where to start? How about the views. On a clear day the view is across Puget Sound all the way to the Olympic Mountains. Next up, the food. Simply put it’s all outstanding and if you don’t like or can’t eat seafood they have options for you as well.

Since I’m into seafood, the menu ranges from cod to tuna to shrimp to crab. And, of course they have raw oysters and PNW salmon. Shout out to the Ahi Poke Bowl…a must try if on the menu. The cocktail, beer and wines offered are as expected…Old and New World. How about one that’s hard to find by the glass? Quilceda Creek Cab so, if you haven’t had a taste this avoids the very high price for a bottle! Don’t see something by the glass…ask for the wine list which is extensive.

Excellent and attentive service.

Back to the views. The Café has outdoor dining during the season so keep that in mind as well…think warm summer day watching sunset over the Olympics!

The Café is walk in and only offers reservations on certain holidays.
