In the Hood: Ravenna Brewing Co.
Located in what was an auto repair shop it’s become well known for their local brews in a city with close to 70 breweries. I lean toward ciders rather than beer and have tried several among their rotating selection. Of the beers, the Slice of Life, a sour ale had interesting flavors…not too tart and a perfect choice when the weather turns “hot” in Seattle.
Usually have a food truck out front and have tried several of them. One one occasion they offered Southern BBQ with a Seattle flair so I had to try it. The sauce was tomato based and sweet…correct…the bun was a French type roll…not sure about that. I guess that’s the Seattle flair? The pork was nicely prepared. Sides included bourbon baked beans…nice example and the cheesy jalapeño potatoes…interesting but not my favorite.
They have nice outdoor seating areas for the warmer days with inside seating for the other, more common, Seattle days.
Check out their social media post to see which food truck is scheduled but realize it may not be the one advertised. The beer and ciders offered will make up for that!
