Funky little place for a quick brew: Old Schoolhouse Brewery.
Have been wanting to see what this place was like since the building and facade are so distinctive, even for downtown Winthrop which is full of the old west look. Not sure what it used to be but it makes a nice cozy spot right on the river. It’s all about the beer but they have a rotating cider…give the cherry a try if available…and very limited wines. They also have burgers, sandwiches and salads if you need something to go along with your beer selection.
Very friendly service.
There’s also a deck overlooking the river which can be put to good use in the right weather.
