Went to see the glass beach: North Coast Brewing Co.
The beer is great and the food…..bar food….with huge portions. No way to eat the whole jumbo shrimp platter. All the fired food and the side of coleslaw was a bit much for me.

The glass beach is worth the trip….a beautiful one through the winding roads over the Mendocino Range to the coast. Beautiful sequoias and vistas along the way.
The story behind the glass beach is that it was originally a trash dump and the glass is from broken bottles worn smooth and tiny by the constant wave action.
This part of California can be cool in the late afternoon so bring something light to add for a bit of warmth if needed.
