Looking for some Q: Meaty Johnson’s.
Described as Seattle BBQ…whatever that is, the meat is smoked in house…on the second floor no less! Three types of sauce are offered…mild, medium (chipotle) and spicy (habanero). They are tomato based but not that sweet. Spicy taste best but…it’s spicy!
No surprise, I went with the pulled pork which had enough meat to have made 2 sandwiches. The side of coleslaw was quite good and the cornbread….interesting. Sweet, as typical in Seattle, with jalpeños. It was good but, as my readers know, I’m partial to the unsweetened and unadulterated variety. As the Q goes, this offering is good but it doesn’t live up to my number one in Seattle: Brileys.
Service was very pleasant.
The space is small and I’m told they sometimes sell out of meat so keep that in mind if you plan a late meal.
