Jianbing: Me and Crêpe.
Started in Richmond BC and more recently has moved into Shanghai…reverse migration. This location, in Bellevue Square, open in the spring of last year. There are about a 1/2 dozen locations in the Vancouver metro area.
These things are outrageously good! They come in a number of variations with many adds….I’ve had the vegetarian, BBQ pork and Peking Duck. They are all excellent with my nod going to the Peking Duck….I know you can’t believe it’s not the pork!
The space is quite small but there are a few tables and a number in the general area where you can sit and enjoy your crêpe…..jianbing is the proper name.
During the lunch hour the line can be a bit long and you may have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for your order since they are made to order one at a time by hand. They are definitely worth the wait.
