Quick lunch before the airport: Mandu.
One of 2 locations in DC and near the Convention Center and Chinatown. Decided to give Asian cuisine a go before leaving DC and I am least familiar with Korean food so it seemed like a good option.
The lunch menu is succinct but with a good selection. I defaulted to what I recognized and went with the Bibim Bap which the wait staff suggest I have in the warm version and it arrived sizzling hot in a stone bowl (Dolsot Bibim Bap) which was welcomed on this cold DC day. The hot bowl added a crunchiness to the rice which imparted a distinct flavor to the dish as well.
