Hole in the wall bakery: Golden Crust.
I’m familiar with the offerings of this small bakery because they have a stand at the Whistler farmers market during summer months. Their claim to fame, which is well deserved, are the fruit hand pies. They also make butter tarts….apparently a Canadian classic. If you’ve never had one of these little gems, you must have a taste. Think pecan pie with just the filling…..outstanding! They also have various savory meat pies and other baked goods. You can even take them with you to bake later.
The main bakery is in a warehouse area and is easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention….so, pay attention.
