The Truck: El Camión.
There are several locations and we have visited the one located in a parking lot near Home Depot in north Seattle and we now have one in the neighborhood.
The food is authentic, very good, and the service friendly and spot on. We’ve had a variety of tacos…shrimp, carnitas and pollo all served up on corn tortillas. A number of meats are available, including tripe and tongue…with veg options as well. We’ve also had the camarones a la diabla…comes with a choice of hotness…recommend you go with mild unless you really like hot. Even the medium was on the uncomfortable side of the scale! The menu has many choices so you will find something to enjoy.
There is a small parking lot beside the truck which makes access…and therefore ordering…..a delight. They have a few tables that allow you to enjoy your order on the spot….or take it away as we did….too cold and rainy to really enjoy the outdoor experience the day we visited. But wait for summer and the experience will be quite different….and likely, much busier. Also remember that Burke Gilman Brewery is nearby if you’re looking for that liquid to wash down your choice.
They also offer breakfast items…served more like brunch since they don’t open until 10 am.
