Beer anyone: Denver Microbrew Tour.
Visited 4 different places on our tour with Matt….he was and excellent guide.
We sampled 2 to 3 beers at each stop and my favorite was the Dry Dock Double IPA at Falling Rock Tap House. It’s double hopped so if you don’t like that taste it wouldn’t be for you. However, they have 75 beers on tap so you should be able to find something to please your palate. Story has it that the owner drank about 90% of the more than 2200 bottles of beer on display around the bar!
In addition to the tastings it was a fun way to see the LoDo area of Denver which is near Coors Field. It’s full of restaurants, bars and small shops. Of note, Wynkoop Brewing Co, which was on the tour was started by former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in the late 1980s.
I don’t know much about beer…as you know my alcohol of choice is wine, but this was a fun way to learn about different beers and how they are made.
