Breakfast to start a new day: Cowgirl Cafe.

One of many dining options in the downtown area near 13th Street. Specializes in breakfast with a western theme…..with portion sizes to match.  They are open until 2 pm daily.

Had to try the grits which were a bit dry as served but after some butter, salt and egg yoke they were fine. Biscuits and gravy are also available but I had no room to experience that option. The pancake sandwich is a bit of a misnomer….it’s as pictured…2 gigantic pancakes with a side of eggs. A true farmer’s breakfast!

Don’t know the story behind the life sized bronze statue of the cowgirl as you enter but I suspect there must be one.

Breakfast here was better than Vic’s. Service was good.
