Have noticed this place while in South Lake Union: Cinque Terre.
Modern space serving foods from the region and on the streetcar line on Westlake which makes it convenient if you live or work in the area. Part of the the restaurant group that includes Barolo and Mamma Melina.
This day we had lunch and my choice was the Pioniere pizza…..described as topped with spicy New England clam chowder with calamari. My comparison is the clam bake pizza at Mioposto and this example fell short of my gold standard. It was spicy but I couldn’t find a clam anywhere…the predominant seafood was squid, which were nicely done but don’t bring as much flavor as would clams. Â The other choice this visit was the insalata con pollo which was very good and quite flavorful. The included salame combined with the chicken made the dish.
The space is very nice with upstairs and outside options. The menu is heavy on seafood and includes raw oysters. Service was good.
