Carb loading: Bella Italia.
Classic Italian restaurant located downtown near the waterfront. Had a ride up Hurricane Ridge the next morning and this seemed like a good option.
Started with a classic Caesar…very good and followed that with the fettuccine carbonara. The carbonara was very rich and I couldn’t eat all of it…so why not save it for the next day after the ride? Score….it was even better….but oh the oil! No wonder it was so flavorful and rich!
Service was friendly and very good. The vibe was like eating at home in your mother’s kitchen. Very nice wine list that leans….you guessed it wrong, not Italian but California and the PNW. They’ve received kudos from both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
