Local recommendation: Barrica 94 Wine Bar.
We asked for a restaurant that served local food and this place, located in the Bellavista area near our hotel, seemed like a good recommendation.
They offer a nice selection of classic Chilean food and the wine list is quite extensive with good choices by the glass and bottle.
Our choices, for lunch, were varied….salads, grilled octopus, montaditos and a mixed platter of empanadas. The empanadas were exactly what I was looking for as a last taste of Chile before our departure. They were very good with the smoked lamb and the beef with shitake getting my nod for the best of the bunch.
Service was good and most importantly, the alfresco area perfect for a nice summer day.
