Not in a city and not a restaurant: Asiana Airlines
Decided to compare the bibimbap served on the 2 national airlines of Korea on my way to and from Changsha China. The comparator is Korean Air.
This example was presented just northeast of Vancouver Island on my outbound leg to Seoul at about 32,000 feet, a bit over 500 mph and with only 10 hours to go!
At about 1 o’clock in the picture is a small bowl that contains some really amazing dried anchovies (Myeolchi-bokkeum)….which made the dish. I’m not a fan of cabbage kimchi so I was disappointed by that offering….I prefer fermented radish…..Kkakdugi. The wine was a California pinot noir.
Service was very good but based on the comparison….the nod goes to Korean Air’s version.
