This is it…the diner of Twin Peaks fame: Twede’s Cafe
It’s been some time since I’ve eaten here but this is one of those places that never changes. It’s a classic diner and their claim to fame is the cherry pie. Menu covers breakfast to dinner with an extensive selection of hamburgers….over 30 to choose from including a PBJ burger!
Soup today was chile which was very good and rather than have a burger I had the patty melt which was classic and very good as well. If you like cooked onions this is the one for you.
Beautiful time of the year to visit with snow in the mountains! For those not familiar with the area that’s Mount Si in the background. In the summer it’s used by people training to climb Mount Rainier….same grade but the summit is about 10,000 feet lower and you’d have  do it more than twice to get the same total vertical!
