Japanese sandos: Tres Sandwich House.

Recommended by my daughter, who is a bit of all things Japanese nut, it’s a great find in south Bellevue…you have to want to go here….it’s not in the downtown core.

It’s a small place really designed for takeaway but they have a few small tables if you want to enjoy your choices on the spot.

Speaking of choices…all the sandwiches are made fresh daily and the menu changes among more that 50 possible sandos! A word about the bread….milk bread or shokupan. Think a more flavorful Wonder Bread and you’ll have the consistency about right…very soft….and no edges. Each one is a picture of perfection…as you would expect.

Our choices the day we visited included the classic egg salad, the chicken cutlet and miso pork katsu. But there was more…..we had to of course try the chicken teriyaki and what meal would be complete without dessert? Well, we completed the feed with two dessert choices: red bean paste with matcha cream and strawberry….both were outstanding with a slight nod the the matcha. Go strawberry if you want more sweetness.

If you are planning a party and want something unique, try their party platters which offer up to 14 sandos.
