It’s downtown: Lola’s.
I wanted an experience off the strip and this is not only off the strip but offers an off the strip food experience as well….think NOLA in Vegas.
Nice selection of typical food including oysters….very good, gumbo…just ok, shrimp and grits…stood its own and fried okra…excellent. A word about the okra. It came as a starter in a large bowl which was bit odd but nonetheless, it was perfectly prepared. I also had a bit of the jambalaya which was very good as well.
We had a smorgasbord of desserts and the 2 that were best included bread pudding….topped with Jim Beam praline sauce….very good and the sweet potato pecan pie.
Wine? A can of sparkling rosé! Interesting but not particularly memorable.
Service was good.
