Ever what you need: Sluys Poulsbo Bakery
Interesting story behind this place. It’s been around since the early 1900s and has changed hands and names, a few times over the years. Since it’s been around for so long and resides in what is basically an old fishing village started by Scandinavians, expect to see some unique offerings…like lefse, along with the more traditional…..like doughnuts. It’s all small batch and made by hand. Apparently their claim to fame is Poulsbo Bread, the original of which, is only made here.
Only problem is, you can’t have one of everything and all of our choices (pecan roll, apple walnut cinnamon roll with cream cheese, almond croissant and pumpkin doughnut) were outstanding.
Good thing, it’s just a short ferry ride away.
