What a view: Kimo’s.
We’ve been here before and returned because the food is solid and the views just can’t be beat.
This time we had a table on the lanai right next to the deck rail so the views were spectacular, especially as the sun set.
This place is all about seafood and they have fresh local fish that can be prepared in several ways. This visit we had the Ono (wahoo) and the Opah (moonfish). Opah is a lighter, softer fish, and this dish with capers was a good example. A bit too light for my taste. Ono is meatier and the garlic and sweet basil aioli made the dish.
If you’ve never had Hula Pie….give it a try! Since we’ve had it before and were not that hungry, our choice was the pineapple coconut cheesecake. Very good.
Probably best to make a reservation, since it can be a busy place……and request a outside table for the best views.
Service was good.
