Carbo loading, again: Via Maestra 42.
Located nearby the hotel and known for regional Italian fare so off we went. It’s located in a strip mall….but most everything seems that way…..so don’t let that fool you.
The space is small….about 30 seats and it was packed on a weeknight and we had to wait about 15 minutes or so. No reservations so you will likely wait unless you visit at an off hour. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Started dinner with the insalata con ricotta….was torn between this and the tricolore which also sounded interesting and looked quite tasty. Followed with penne alla bolognese…..outstanding!
Wine for the night was a very nice Montepulciano.
No room for dessert but they have a nice selection of gelato and other fairly typical Italian offerings….think tiaramisu.
Service was very good.
