Excellent Italian food: Cantinetta.
This is a small place near the UW campus that is our go to place for Italian food in Seattle. I’ve never had a bad meal here and while there are other more expensive and also excellent Italian restaurants in Seattle this has the near perfect combination of great food at a reasonable price. Very good wine list as well which includes dessert wines and of course, vin santo. I also measure Italian restaurants by the availability of Italian dessert wines.
It can be very busy so expect to wait for a table especially if you don’t have a reservation. Best way to beat the crowd is to eat early…or have a reservation!
For dessert, a must try are the zeppole which are made onsite.
