Chef’s tasting menu: Forsythia.

Modern French cuisine in the heart of the Old City. Even though it was a dinner for 10 the chef’s tasting menu ran the gamut of his offerings.

Everything tasted was outstanding but the escargot a’ la provençale was a standout as was the wagyu beef tartar followed by the oysters that were made by the accompanying mignonette.  For my main I picked the Icelandic cod…best I’ve ever had! Perfectly seared with tons of flavor. Not your typical bland piece of cod.

Also had a selection of desserts with my favorite, the caramel tart.
