University Village: Joey Kitchen.
This is a chain of restaurants out of Vancouver BC that serves a mix of Asian fusion, PNW, burgers, and steaks in a very nice upscale space. Service is always very good and pleasant on the eye.
Give the Korean fried cauliflower a try…delicious dish as is the BBQ Salmon bowl…brown rice is the way to go on this one. Other outstanding dishes include the yellowfin tuna salad, roasted cod and the tuna poke bowl. Their Asian fusion dishes seem to be the best so I’d skip the burgers…but I’m partial to Asian cuisine. If you want a burger, I’d recommend the Impossible Burger. Plant based including what looks like blood…not beets but an engineered plant hemoglobin. Incredible flavor and I actually prefer it to beef because of the taste.
This is a place to meet friends after shopping and be seen. For that, it more than meets the bill.
