Located on the second floor of the Thomas Jefferson Tower…built in 1929 with a dirigible station still located at the very top. The space is very nice with high ceilings and includes outdoor dining if the weather cooperates.
How to describe the food? New Southern perhaps and with a French flare. We dined here twice, once for brunch and a second time to celebrate our youngest daughter’s successful defence of her PhD dissertation.
Brunch ranges from Southern classics…shrimp and grits…to duck hash. The duck hash was to die for so you must try if if you like duck. And, of course they have biscuits.
For dinner starters ranged from fried okra to grilled octopus. For mains, pasta to pork belly with scallops to swordfish to stuffed eggplant. Let your taste buds wander.
No room for dessert.
If you’re lucky, you may have a visit from the chef/owner, Robert Lynn…and maybe even a round of drinks for the table. Thanks Chef!
