Brunch Italian or Southern style: Trattoria ZaZa.
Since pizza is on the menu I guess the best way to describe this place is Italian with a Southern touch.
It’s small and busy. We arrived about 20 minutes after opening and the line was almost out the door! Has to be good….right….right.
No one went for the breakfast pizza…..it looked very good with bacon, sausage and hash browns topped with a fried egg.
Our choices: fried eggs, frittata of the day and the hash were all very tasty. A word more about my choice…the fried eggs. I think the best way to describe them would be fried with still runny yolks plated on polenta….basically Italian for grits and topped by lamb sausage, creamed kale with a dusting of pecorino. Very very tasty.
Of course they have coffee in all its forms and, yes they know how to steam milk.
Counter service.
Tables can be a bit hard to come by if it’s busy. In the warmer months there is outside dining available which would help.
